The FAFSA application is the gateway to being considered for 9 different federal student aid programs, state aid programs and most of the institutional aid that is available. The FAFSA form is an annual submission to determine if you are eligible for many grants, including the Pell Grant, Federal student loans and Federal Work-Study.
Although the federal deadline is June 30, 2014, North Carolina awards state grants on a first-come, first-served basis until the money runs out. Student should submit FAFSA forms as soon as possible after January 1 , 2013.
