Pipeline NC is a user friendly, web‐based career exploration and talent acquisition platform that can connect job seekers to employers. Key functions of this platform include career exploration, skills and interest assessments, and links to connect job seekers to employment opportunities. The platform will also assist students and job seekers by helping them identify skill deficiencies for selected career opportunities and then guiding them to nearby educational institutions to upgrade their skills. This platform launched in mid-January 2010. Check back often as additional features are continually being added.
JobLink Career Centers offer a variety of employment and training services that can help job seekers find a new or better job. Adults age 18 or older are eligible to receive services through JobLink Career Centers and the majority of services are free. Many JobLink Career Centers provide services to youth. The Career Readiness Certification (CRC) is an assessment-based credential that gives employers and career seekers a uniform measure of key workplace skills. For job seekers, the CRC serves as a portable credential that can be more meaningful to employers than a high school degree or a resume citing experience in a different job setting. For employers, the CRC offers a reliable means of determining whether a potential employee has the necessary literacy, numeracy and problem solving skills to be “job ready.”
